Miss Marty's Pre-School :

At Miss Marty’s Pre-School, children are at the heart of everything we do. We provide a safe, welcoming place where every child can feel known, valued, and excited to learn. Through play, caring relationships, and hands-on discovery, children build confidence and grow across language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development—always at their own pace and in ways that celebrate who they are.

Each day brings meaningful opportunities to explore and connect. Music and Gym classes encourage movement and creative expression; STEM activities spark curiosity and early problem-solving; multicultural celebrations help children appreciate different traditions and perspectives; and outdoor exploration invites investigation, imagination, and wonder. Together, these experiences help children develop the skills, independence, and love of learning they need for a bright future.

Our Story

 

Miss Marty 's Pre-School was opened in 1964 on Harvey Street in the Germantown section of Philadelphia.  Our Founder believed that every child deserved equal access to quality care, and so she worked tirelessly to make sure that Miss Marty's filled that need for the children and families in our community.  

 

Miss Marty operated her school until the time of her death in 2021.  At that time,  her daughters chose to continue to operate the school that bears their mother's name.   Today, Miss Marty's youngest Daughter, along with a warm, loving and caring team of teachers and administrators, honors her mother by continuing to serve the community she loved.

 

Now, just a few blocks from the site of its founding, Miss Marty's Pre-School serves children from 6 weeks through 13 years old.
